 We are accepting applications for Garden Interns  for the 2023 growing season.  ​
Laughing Buck Farm is seeking volunteers and interns for the 2023 growing season. This is a wonderful opportunity for candidates to get  hands-on learning experience from seed to harvest, and to have fun in the garden! This is an unpaid internship offered to plant lovers aged 15 and up. 

Dates:
Full Season  2023 March – November
Spring Season 2023  February – mid May
Summer Season 2023 June - mid August
Fall Season 2023 August - November


How to apply
Introduce yourself in an email to laughingbuckfarm @ gmail. com, include "Laughing Buck Farm Garden Intern" in the subject line and attach your resume. Applications will be accepted from February until positions are filled.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Field work including garden planning, soil amending, setting up irrigation, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, creating value-added products
  • Harvesting, drying, and processing culinary and medicinal herbs
  • Working with garden manager and other volunteers
  • Helping host farm events if desired

Qualifications
  • Interest and working knowledge of some or all of the following: farming, homesteading, gardening, horticulture
  • Able to commit to a season.
  • Flexible and willing to help with a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Outgoing and good with people; Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Able to take direction and ownership of delegated tasks
  • 18 years old or older.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

About Laughing Buck Farm
We are a small farm located 6 miles north of Colorado State University and Old Town Fort Collins. We have a school garden as well as an extensive herb garden that is used for our farm classes. We have a passion for getting children outside experiencing nature and farm life and involve children and families in working in the garden, caring for livestock (chickens, pigs, goats), horsemanship and horseback riding, as well as seasonal lessons and adventures in nature.
