BARN RULES FOR BOARDERS AND COMMUNITY OF LAUGHING BUCK FARM
- Any concern, question, request or complaint should be directed to the barn manager.
- NO smoking allowed in or near the barn or hay storage at any time.
- Please drive slowly.
- All riders and guests must sign a liability release before handling or riding any horse. It is a boarder's responsibility to ensure that all his/her guests have completely filled out and signed a release.
- Riders for lessons and classes MUST wear a helmet at all times.
- Each person is responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their horses. Clean up manure immediately. Do not wait until after you ride. Please clean up after your farrier.
- Tie only to tie rails (near the posts), crossties, or inside paddocks or stalls.
- No riding in barn aisles.
- Boarders, please use only your own equipment, and keep it your area. Please do not borrow something that isn't yours.
- If a lesson is taking place in the arena, it is off limits for additional horses and riders.
- Clear the arena completely of equipment (poles, barrels, cones, etc.) after each use. No exceptions.
- Wash horses in the designated areas and do not create muddy areas near the spigots. Keep a bucket under the spigot to catch runoff.
- Please take reasonable care with your horse on farm property. Try not to tear up the footing.
- We reserve the right to charge for any damages your horse might cause to our facilities (stall, barn, fencing, arena, etc). Normal wear and tear is acceptable.
- Please do not yell or run around the horses.
- All gates shall be kept shut at all times, except while passing through. Please do not climb over gates; go through them.
- Please park only on gravel areas. Unless on farm business, please do not drive on the grass.
- Please do not help yourself to hay or bedding without asking stable management first.
- Parents are responsible for all minor children. Don’t leave children unattended or allow children to stand on the rails or gates.
- Do not feed any horse but your own without owner's permission. Do not allow your horse to "sniff noses" with other horses, as this can lead to injuries.
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
