GROWING ROOTS @ Laughing Buck Farm   Programs 2019

DAYTIME HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM                                                                             
APRIL Session 1 for younger farmers, ages 6 & up
Wednesdays 10-1 (April 3, 10, 17 and 24th)
$30 drop in or $100 for 4 Weeks (3 hour class)

MAY Session 2  for older farmers, ages 9 & up
Wednesdays 10-2 (May 15, 22 and 29th )
$40 drop in or $105 for three weeks (4 hour class)

                   April Session:  Sense of Wonder
                                    5 & up 

We will explore the farm, garden and play in the haybarn with each class
  • We will explore our senses in nature and garden through hands on  exploring learning. We will touch, see, taste, smell and listen​
April 3rd- Soul of Soil: Importance of soil. What's in this dirt? Mycobacterium vaccae, this strain of Bacteria found in soil had been found to trigger the release of serotonin, which elevates mood and decreases anxiety. What, there's more? this Bacteria has been found to improve cognitive function. We will get dirty and have fun. 
April 10th- Clouds, What's up? We will relax, play and witness clouds and different patterns. Out in the garden we will see what it's like to make clouds. Hands on experiment. 

April 24th- Telling time with the sun? We will play around with sun, shadows and creating a human sun dial.  We will then make one in the garden.  You will never be late again ;) ​
     May Session:  Flow-Grow Nature Connections

9 &up
Exploring each weekly theme we will  create connections in Nature through Yoga, Art and Gardening with mindfulness.
Angel Shuey is a Certified yoga instructor through yoga alliance and has been teaching kids movement/gymnastics since 2000.  Angel will bring her gift of mindfulness, her passion of working with kids and her absolute love of nature to Laughing Buck Farm.  FarmHer Angela will bring her love to all things garden and passion of the calm and joy being outside brings.

May 22nd- Growth
May 29th- Gratitude

 Each class will build weekly on each other but drop ins are welcome.   Yoga mats will be provided if needed only 12 spaces available.
